UK price comparison sites
Comparison shopping sites compare prices from a number of online shops. Many different types of goods can be compared, including books, music CDs, DVDs, PCs and electrical goods. They aim to find the product that the user wants and also to provide choice. If you are not from the UK, visit the US / International price comparison page.
If you are a merchant and want to list on price comparison sites, you may be interested in the page on Listing on Price Comparison Sites. See also the International price comparison sites and US price comparison sites |

I have just purchased a 19" LCD screen with TV and got this in PC World for £279.99. I then checked if this was a good deal on Pricerunner, Kelkoo and Bizrate Dealtime the 4 biggest UK Comparison Sites and the results were poor.
None of them got anywhere near what I paid and most of them were showing prices from £309 to £390 for the same product and dealtime etc.
I think I will do my own comparison shopping if they cannot get the correct data into the site as I seem to be able to do a better job than they can.
As a professional buyer for my living I will certaintly not use these sites in future as it makes me look silly when someone tells you I could have got that cheaper!!

Hi,
Please add http://www.eHawker.co.uk to your list of price comparison web sites.
eHawker allows shoppers to browse for products and services, and presents traders' offers in a familiar 'small ads' format.
By clicking Compare on interesting small ads, shoppers can evaluate offers from a price point of view before buying.
With thanks

Hi everyone,
I have found http://www.billybargain.co.uk/games/ is the best site for comparing prices of games (I use it for xbox 360 but they do all platforms).
It was reviewed in web user magazine because of its DVD site which is alright but the games side seems much better than others on the scene because they compare prices from loads of the UKs games sites (some of the biggest sites are not always cheapest believe it or not!)
I use their price tracking system as well because I find £50 for some games too much. All I have to do is enter the price I want to pay and the site emails me if the price drops below the price I set.
Regards
Jane

Mobile Phone Pay As You Go Price Comparison Site - just got a top of the range pay as you go mobile phone (motorola razr v3) via boxbreak.com
it gave me all the prices from all the shops and online retailers in the united kingdom for all the pay as you go / prepay mobile phones
fantastic mobile phone price comparison website - would recommend but only if you are after a pay as you go mobile phone, not although it does have links to great offers it seems to specialise in pay as you go mobile phones.

As online trader I have used many PPC websites to try and create more sales I have been trading online for over six years and unless you have a money tree in your garden PPC UK Comparison Sites are way too expensive to get your products on as most of our large competitors are bidding so high we just could not compete, I have also found that with Google ads now it seems the Shopping Comparison Sites are buying up all major keywords and are bidding so high that the small business cannot compete with this which leaves the small business out in the cold.
After extensive searching and organic link optimization I do manage to get some sales but I still could not give up my main job but I have found couple of free Comparison Sites one that everybody knows which is Froogle but how long it will stay free I don’t know.
Another is called http://www.bargainshack.co.uk this is a free site for all UK online shops as long as you place their small banner on your website I think that was very fair and I have made over £500 in sales in less than 6 months for a free service a think that is fantastic.
I sent them an email to make sure there was now catch and they replied with quick response saying no more PPC websites we do not believe in PPC advertising we believe this is very unfair on all business as many shopper s just browse when they are online so if we charged for PPC click service business would be paying monies out to the PPC company for nothing if we cannot produce a sale from how website then we have not done our job in our search engine marketing.
We always keep close eye on search engine treads and optimise Bargain Shack Shopping according to current treads thank you for your email and it is our pleasure listing your products on Bargain Shack.
So to sum up from a person who has been trading online for some time now .
I would recommend doing your home work and finding a product that has a good marketing but also check to see our many competitors you will be dealings with and how large the competitors growth turnover is if they access 6 figures unless you can really beat their prices and can afford PPC Comparison Sites then go for it.
But for the rest of us go place your products on Bargain Shack and Froogle or any other free site you can even try free ad site this is another way of getting good traffic to your site but very tedious as you have to put products one by one search engines love free ad sites as the content changes on daily basis.

Tired of wasting time checking out individual retail sites?
Wondering if there are cheaper sites you don't know about?
Then checkout www.cdscan.co.uk.

Results are speedily presented in order of search relevance making it easy for you to find the products you want.
It has a huge product catalogue and is very clear and easy to use, and it doesn't bombard you with mountains of irrelevant ads, unlike most other price comparison sites.
