Wise People,

I have been on Toucan boradband for nearly a year now and are not happy with the speed, my exchnage is capable of upto 3.5 meg a second, I do get near this during the day but at night I get really slow speeds like 500kb\s!

Would changing to another ISP change anything?

Well, Toucan is now part of Tiscali, and as such has a traffic shaping put on... In practice it means that between 5PM and 11PM the whole network crawls to a halt...that's how Tiscali "save" money... If you have the chance, leave, and never look back. Companies like Pipex, Bulldog, Toucan, Nildram, Homecall are all owned by Tiscali so don't go with them unless you want the history to repeat itself... Check on samknows if you can get BE* and if you can, do so:)

I found here http://www.ip-details.com/ to check the ip address..It provides ip search,domain host search,get ip details.....
